Lira University is one of the 3 Universities from Uganda benefitting from AHEAD (African Higher Education Leadership in Advancing Inclusive Innovation for Development) Project supported by Erasmus+ Programme – Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education.
The project seeks to build the capacity of our University to lead and manage Innovation and research that benefit our region and our country’s economy and society. Creating awareness and capacity building for promoting inclusive innovation, entrepreneurship at the local level and community empowerment.
The project will encourage and facilitate University collaboration with external organisations (industry, public sector and community).
The University will review and improve our institutional structures and agendas, build human capital and strengthen managerial expertise needed to manage knowledge flows and innovation partnerships with a variety of external stakeholders.
The project will among others create an Innovation Lab at the University which will provide working space for innovators and physical working space for collaboration with stakeholders.
