Lira University registers the 1st Graduation Ceremony as a huge success
Lira University Teaching Hospital was commissioned by the President of Uganda, His Excellency General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni
The 1st Graduation Ceremony at Lira University was a huge success.
The Ceremony was held on Friday, 1st November, 2019.The occasion was braced with a number of dignitaries from all over Uganda namely; the Minister for Health, Minister for Higher Education, Members of Parliament, Invited Guests, University Staff, Graduands and their parents. The Chief Guest was His Excellency the President of the Republic of Uganda and the Visitor, Lira University, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
The Visitor officially commissioned Lira University which involved Historical events namely; commissioning the University Teaching Hospital and laying the Foundation Stone for Administration block. He then installed the Chancellor, Hon. Justice Dr. Benjamin Joses Odoki who later on installed the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jasper Ogwal Okeng and presided over the Graduation Ceremony.
