My current PhD training has taken me through rigorous review of the research process and I have particularly gathered notable experience in writing and reviewing research articles. As part of a team of three, I have conducted a study titled “Exploring the Causal Effect of Omega-3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid Levels on Risk of Type 1 Diabetes: A Mendelian Randomization Study” and compiled an article currently undergoing peer review for publication. I am currently in early stages of drafting a concept paper in the field of cancer bioinformatics research particularly targeting to study ‘the dependencies in the complex relationship of B lymphocytes, Ebstein Bar  Virus infection and plasmodium falciparum infection in the aetiology of Endemic Burkitt Lymphoma. In my role as a lecturer at Lira University, I have supervised to completion several undergraduate and postgraduate level student research projects. During my Master’s studies, I received training in several areas of research and epidemiology including concept paper writing, proposal writing and other areas. I conducted a study Titled ‘The time taken to develop sub-acute toxicity to Moringa Oleifera leaves aqueous extract in Swiss Albino rats.’ for which I wrote a dissertation report and went through a viva as part of the requirements for my Masters award.

I Prepared a research proposal and there after the project report about the ‘Factors influencing the management of severe childhood malnutrition by health workers at Mubende hospital’ submitted to Department of Nursing, Makerere University College of Health Sciences in 2009.

During my undergraduate training, I had community Health Placements in Kiruddu, for 3weeks, Serere and Rwashamire about assessment of factors that influence health, where we conducted; community diagnosis, project proposal writing, project implementation, evaluation and report writing.
