Higher Education Access Certificate Programme-Physical Sciences- Full-time. | August | 1 year | Weekdays | Faculty of Education | a) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education or its equivalent with Subsidiary Passes in two of the Physics, Mathematics or Chemistry subjects. b) For A-Level Students without Physics, Mathematics and/or Chemistry; At least two principal passes at UACE are required and UCE with credits in each of the following subject; Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. c) Grades that are sufficient for enrolment in a Diploma or Degree programme in Uganda. d) Technical/Vocational Qualifications in Physical Sciences or related disciplines that are considered equivalent to the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (A-level). e) Students whose foreign Secondary School qualifications are not considered equivalent to the Ugandan A-level (Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education) but permit admission into Higher Education in their respective countries. Such students shall be required to have an equivalent of Uganda Certificate of Education with at least a credit in each of the following three subjects: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Foreign students whose studies were not conducted in English shall show proof of proficiency in the English Language. |
Higher Education Access Certificate Programme-Biological Sciences-Fulltime | August | 1 year | Weekdays | Faculty of Education | a) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education or its equivalent with Subsidiary Passes in both Biology and Chemistry. b) For A-Level Students without Biology and/or Chemistry; At least two principal passes at UACE are required and UCE with credits in each of the following subject; Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. c) Technical/Vocational Qualifications in Biological Sciences or Health-related disciplines such as Nursing/Midwifery, Environmental Health Sciences and Laboratory Techniques; that are considered equivalent to the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (A-level). d) Students whose foreign secondary school qualifications are not considered equivalent to the Ugandan A-level (Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education) but permit admission into Higher Education in their respective countries. Such students shall be required to have an equivalent of Uganda Certificate of Education with at least a credit in each of the following three subjects: Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry. Higher Education Access Certificate Programme – General-Fulltime | August | 1 year | Weekdays | Faculty of Education | a) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education or its equivalent with Subsidiary Passes in both Economics and Geography. b) For A-Level Students without Economics and/or Geography; At least two Principal passes at UACE are required and UCE with credits in each of the following subject; Economics and Geography. c) Grades that are sufficient for enrolment in a Diploma or Degree programme in Uganda. d) Technical/Vocational Qualifications in Economics and Geography or related disciplines that are considered equivalent to the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (A-level). e) Students whose foreign secondary school qualifications are not considered equivalent to the Ugandan A-level (Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education) but permit admission into Higher Education in their respective countries. Such students shall be required to have an equivalent of Uganda Certificate of Education with at least a credit in each of the following subjects: Economics and Geography.
