Lira University Pitch was lit with cheers, music, and celebration on the evening of Tuesday, September 30, as the Administrative staff team triumphed over their counterpart, the Academicians in a gripping 1-0 goal, in the football match.
In the game that drew a vibrant crowd and embodied the spirit of camaraderie, teamwork, and sportsmanship, the Administrative Staff team proved relentless in the first and second halves netting one goal to zero and also emerging victorious in the Tug of War.

Academic staff Team ready to fire
The Academic Staff were equally strong and secured a 4–4 draw against the Administrative Staff in the exciting netball encounter.
Ronald Kitosi, the Sports Tutor, appreciated the staff who turned up in big numbers to participate in the Staff Sports Day. “Your energy, teamwork, and enthusiasm made the day a memorable success,” he said.
“We promise to continue organizing such engagements that strengthen wellness, togetherness, and a vibrant community spirit at Lira University,” he added.
