Biography
David Mwesigwa is an Associate Professor of Public Administration and Management at the Faculty of Management Sciences, Lira University. He’s an honorary researcher of the College of Law and Management studies, University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa [2020 – 2022] and a post-Doctoral fellow at the College of Law and Management studies, University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa [2015 to mid-2017]. He obtained his PhD in Public Administration and Management in 2013 from Nkumba University, Uganda. Prior to this, he received his Master’s degree in Development Administration and Management in 2007 from Kampala International University. He’s a member of the South African Association of Public Administration and Management since 2015 [SAPAAM]. His main research interests are in local governance, ecotourism, Household food security, Citizen participation, Elections and electoral systems, Civil society, rural development, Political socialisation, and Centralist democracy. His google scholar h-index is 18 and i10-index is 45 [as at August 30, 2025]. David joined Lira University in September 2017.
