Lira University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jasper Ogwal Okeng has revealed that the University is expanding facilities that has resulted in development of new lecture rooms, laboratories (teaching and research).
“A new ultra-modern block has just been completed and is furnished and being equipped to run courses in Medical sciences and Education. The faculty of Medicine, housed in the new block is now poised to launch the MBChB programme in the 2023/24 academic year,” Prof Ogwal Okeng notes.
He adds, as a support to the faculty of Medicine, besides the existing Teaching Hospital, we are currently undertaking constructions of Medical Doctors’ accommodation, Dietary demonstration and sterilisation/laundry blocks.
