Consultative meeting with staff in the Department of Physics, Lira University on development of a National Space Program for Uganda.
The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MoSTI) is developing a National Space Program (NaSP) for Uganda and will be conducting consultative meetings with Institutions in the field of Space Science and Technology (SST).
The meeting was well attended by officials from Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MoSTI), Muni University and Lira University staff.
The purpose of this consultation is to gather information on the teaching, research and innovation that will further guide the development of the NaSP. The consultative meetings will also discuss possible strategies to develop SST, opportunities presented by SST to the country as well as challenges hindering its development.
