Lira University has launched the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery programme this semester and invites potential candidates to apply for admissions.
The National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) has accredited the Medicine and Surgery programme for Lira University to commence running effective Semester one of 2023/2024 academic year on Private Sponsorship.
The Academic Registrar, Lira University, Geoffrey Angela, has consequently invited ONLINE applications for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB). The deadline for submission of Applications is 14th September 2023.
Lira University team has been more than ready and prepared to mount the long awaited Medicine programme. The preparations included recruiting competent and experienced lecturers and equipping laboratories for practicals.
With the strong leadership and team led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jasper Ogwal Okeng, Lira University is experiencing a steadfast progress with several academic programmes currently.
Lira University, located in Lira City, Northern Uganda, is a Public University established on the 8th day of July, 2015 under Statutory Instruments No. 35 of 2015, and under section 22 (I) of the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Act of 2001 as amended.
