ERIC MURUNGI BALUKU

Eric Murungi Baluku is a certified critical care and emergency Nurse, Lecturer at Lira University in the faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, Department Emergency and Critical care, and PhD candidate in Nursing at Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Uganda. He holds a Master of Nursing Science in Critical Care Nursing from the same institution.

Eric’s clinical and academic work focuses on improving outcomes for critically ill patients in resource-limited settings.

His research is centered on on health-related quality of life among patients with chronic kidney disease, alongside the development and evaluation of nurse-led self-management interventions. He is particularly interested in strengthening health systems through contextually relevant, evidence-based nursing interventions that enhance patient-centered care and support the delivery of high-quality services in sub-Saharan Africa
