CPA. Anthony Elemu is a governance-focused financial executive and an assurance advisor currently serving as a Deputy University Bursar at Lira University. With over 15 years of experience in financial management, reporting, banking, and audit of public sector, private sector and projects, he has built a distinguished career grounded on financial governance, promoting accountability and supporting strategic institutional growth. He joined Lira University on 1^st December 2023.

Anthony previously served as an Auditor in the Office of the Auditor General from 2013 to 2023 where he provided great service overseeing through conducting financial, compliance and performance audits thus strengthening internal/operational controls, financial management practices and public accountability. Before joining Auditor General, he worked as a Business Solution Manager and Loans Management & Recover Office at Stanbic Bank Uganda. Anthony has also been doing consultancy working as an Audit Manager with Biz & Co. Certified Public Accountants and a Quality Assurance Manager with Dickson Associates Certified Public Accountants

He is a dynamic assurance advisor with a strong communication and interpersonal skills who is committed to collaborations, performance management and capacity building. In addition to aligning financial stewardship with the University’s strategy, Anthony is a Part Time Lecturer at Lira University at the Faculty of Management Science, a member of the staff Tribunal representing Lira University Administrative Staff Association and the Acting Manager of Lira University SACCO
