How to apply

Before applying for a course, first read the guidelines below: -

  1. Visit the Institution’s Online Application Portal URL via https://admissions.lirauni.ac.ug/
  2. Click Signup to create an aplication account (i.e; set a Username and Password)
  3. Thereafter, login and click Apply now
  4. Scroll through to choose the relevant Entry Scheme and click Apply now again
  5. After filling in the online form, click Submit
  6. Obtain a Payment Reference Number (PRN) by clicking on “Pay for Form” Button
  7. Make a payment at any of the banks used by Uganda Revenue Authority or follow the steps below for Mobile Money Payments                                        

MOBILE MONEY PAYMENT STEPS:
 

Dial *165# on either MTN or Airtel

For MTN Dial *165#, then select:

Option 4: Payments

Option 5: Fees and Taxes

Option 1: URA

Option 1: With PRN Payments

  1. Please enter your payment registration number (PRN) then follow prompts.
  2. Details of Application form will be confirmed 
  3. Enter your mobile money PIN to confirm payment
  4. Your status on the portal will change from pending to paid

Sponsored Students & Payments via Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT)

EFT Payments should be transfered to Uganda Revenue Authority Collection Account in Bank of Uganda as follows:

Account Name: Uganda Revenue Authority Collections

Account Number.: 003410158000002

A schedule of students sponsored or paid for and the confirmation of payment obtained from the transacting bank shall be sent to the Lira University Revenue Service Unit on the email unibursar(@)lirauni.ac.ug

The sponsored students are expected to enrol and register on the ACMIS System in order to be given receipts for the money paid. Further clarification on this mode of payment please email the office of the bursar on the emails above.
