The construction of the demonstration and Laundry-Sterilisation blocks at Lira University is almost getting done, with the National Enterprise Corporation (NEC) as the contractor.
Barebente Pascal, Civil engineer, NEC and the Project manager, said that 90% of works are done and they are expecting to hand over the buildings in late July 2023.
He was speaking at the site meeting on 14th June 2023. The contract amount is shs1,342,587,503.
Barenbente said that the scope of the works included preliminaries, site preparations and clearance, demonstration block, laundry-sterilisation block, electrical installations and mechanical installations.
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jasper Ogwal Okeng lauded NEC for doing good job. “We shall continue being partners in the development of Lira University. NEC has shown its worth and commitment by rendering effective and efficient service delivery, “Prof. Ogwal Okeng notes.
