The University of Antwerp in partnership with Lira University have embarked on screening pregnant women for Hepatitis B virus using a DNA PCR machine which now sits at the Lira University Teaching Hospital Laboratory.
Lira University Dean of Nursing and Midwifery Faculty, Anna Grace Auma, said that this project will bring with it capacity building for health staff at Lira University besides targeting treating women and children and the general community of the university.
