The Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, Hon. Eng. Jonard Asiimwe Akiiki, is scheduled to visit Lira University on Saturday, 7th November 2026.
The Minister’s visit is an important institutional engagement and a unique opportunity for Lira University to showcase its research achievements, innovations, technological advancements and commercialization potential to the Ministry.
The programme will feature:
🔹 Tour of selected university facilities and innovation spaces.
🔹 Exhibition and demonstration of research innovations.
🔹 Presentations on research-to-innovation and commercialization pathways.
🔹 Engagement on international collaborations and partnership opportunities.
Staff and students will actively participate in this landmark engagement, with local leaders and other stakeholders expected to attend the event.
