Dean, Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery
Auma Anna Grace is a Registered Midwife Specialist in Uganda and currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery at Lira University, where she also works as a Senior Lecturer. She holds a Diploma in Midwifery, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Midwifery and Women’s Health from Makerere University.
With extensive experience in academia, clinical practice, and leadership, Auma is dedicated to strengthening maternal and neonatal health through education, research, and mentorship. She is particularly passionate about supporting and nurturing young and emerging clinicians and researchers in the health sector.
In addition to her academic and clinical roles, she has significant experience in grants administration and management. She has successfully managed multiple research and development grants to completion, demonstrating strong financial oversight, accountability, and project coordination skills.
Auma is committed to advancing safe and supportive working environments within health systems while promoting excellence in nursing and midwifery education. Her professional identity integrates multiple roles—as an administrator, educator, clinician, researcher, and advocate for improved health outcomes.
