Lira University students and staff founded a Keep Me in School Project which is an ongoing school outreach project that focuses on encouraging young girls to persist in school despite the challenges they face.
This project works hand-in-hand with Social Care Mentor-ship project also founded by Lira University students.
The first outreach was carried out at Barapwo Primary School on Saturday, 27th March, where 20 University students met P.6 and P.7 pupils of the school.
The students shared their experiences and finally gave the pupils presents namely; books, pens, social care timetables, calendars and memory clinic books to encourage them with their studies.
