Lira University’s team wins the Technovation Challenge

Lira University’s team, the Big Brain Divaz won first place in the Technovation Challenge under the Higher Institutions category which happened at Rapha Girls School from 12th – 15th May.
The team innovated a Keep Me In School Android App which is a reporting tool against Violence that leads to School dropouts.
The team comprised of Najjuma Luyombya Julian, Adong Juliet, Grace Kwagalake and Atwine Debora. They were coached by Ajok Scovia, winner of the 2017 National Technovation competition.

Lira University’s other team, Teen Infobox were runners up. The innovators were Nakayiza Hellen, Adikini Sherry, Atim Moreen, Nampala Monica and Alayo Patience.

Both teams developed apps for tackling teen age pregnancy and keeping girls in school.
